Teachers Notes
The support notes for Oedipus The Visionary, The Tragedy of Electra, The Salt Wound and Dissent were written by Mark Russell, Principal Teacher of Drama and Community Enrichment, Cardinal Newman High School, North Lanarkshire specifically for Higher Drama Units 1 and 3 in Contemporary Scottish Theatre. The notes would also appeal to any student of literature as topics such as Aristotle's Poetics, Brecht's political theatre, the social, political and religious dimensions of the two Stephen Greenhorn plays and the role of women are all covered.
